Winter Wonderland Weekend Getaway

Step away from city crowds and slush for a serene guided, activity filled weekend in the Temagami backcountry. Join us on Thursday afternoon at our trailhead for a wonderful welcome dinner and an evening in front of the fire, catching up with your friends or making new ones, while we prepare for the next day’s adventure. After a hearty breakfast you will be shuttled to the trail for a beautiful snowshoe into the winter base camp, where your warm tents await.

Once settled in, enjoy a hot lunch and gear up for an afternoon of exploring the trails, honing your bushcraft skills or spend the day ice fishing inside a cozy insulated fishing tent. Your first day in the bush wraps up with a delicious home-cooked meal in our heated canvas dining tent, sharing stories from the day, before gathering around the dancing lights of the outdoor fire pit, while the starts put on a show above.

Day two ushers in more exploration and fishing, after a filling breakfast cooked for you by your guide and host. Choose to stay another night in the bush or opt to spend your evening back at the trailhead, either option works and can be a game day decision. Sunday breakfast and lunch is made fresh for you and the group while you make the most of your last few hours in the pristine, quiet landscape. Depart from the trailhead back to city life at 2pm.

All winter camping & ice fishing gear is included. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated with advance notice.

Thursday Night Welcome dinner
Chicken with mushroom and white wine sauce & fried capers, chive mashed potatoes & roasted tomatoes, wine offered with dinner / Apple Crumble with Bourbon Whipped Cream

Friday
Trailhead breakfast - French toast strata, maple syrup, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon & fresh fruit and Mimosa - Coffee & Tea
Lunch- Muffuletta sandwiches & Parmesan white bean soup with hearty greens
Dinner - Classic Beef Stew, homemade bread, Horseradish compound butter & Cinnamon bun bannock

Saturday
Breakfast - Shakshuka, homemade bread & thick cut bacon
Lunch - Kale Soup with potato & sausage
Dinner - Seared Sirloin steak with Chimichurri, Warm roasted potato salad with pickled onion, feta, arugula & shallot vinaigrette, Lemon butter haricot vert. / Maple Mousse

*paired wine is included with each trailhead dinner

Sunday
Breakfast - Breakfast hash burrito with a variety of hot sauces & salsa
Lunch- Butter Chicken, Basmati Rice, Naan bread & Kachumber salad

Program Cost: $750 per person + tax, minimum 6 people, maximum 8 people
