BGOW Winter Camping

BGOW Winter Camping

Step away from city crowds and slush for a guided, activity filled weekend in the Temagami backcountry. Join us on Thursday afternoon at our trailhead for a wonderful welcome dinner and an evening in front of the fire, catching up with your friends or making new ones, while we prepare for the next day’s adventure. After a hearty breakfast you will be shuttled to the trail for a beautiful snowshoe into the winter base camp, where your warm tents await.

Once settled in, enjoy a hot lunch and gear up for an afternoon of exploring the trails, honing your bushcraft skills or spend the day ice fishing inside a cozy insulated fishing tent. Your first day in the bush wraps up with a delicious home-cooked meal in our heated canvas dining tent, sharing stories from the day, before gathering around the dancing lights of the outdoor fire pit, while the stars put on a show above.

Day two ushers in more exploration and fishing, after a filling breakfast cooked for you by your guide and host. Sunday breakfast and lunch is made fresh for you and the group while you make the most of your last few hours in the pristine, quiet landscape. Depart from the trailhead back to city life at 2pm.

All winter camping & ice fishing gear is included. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated with advance notice.
